Musical Director: Jennifer Demicheli
Jennifer originally joined The Musicality Singers as accompanist having been a rehearsal and performance pianist since 2005.
She initially became the Assistant Musical Director for The Musicality Singers in 2020. We are delighted that Jenny has recently taken on the role as Musical Director.
Jenny is also the pianist for several other choirs. She has previously worked alongside amateur dramatic theatre companies in Mansfield and Matlock. Jenny also arranges and performs her own piano covers in addition to writing her own compositions.

The Musicality Singers has a pretty extensive repertoire.

That said, we don’t cover classical choir pieces, nor have we tried rap. There is a core of pop and rock music from the 1960s, 70s and 80s, including: Abba, Beatles, Bowie, Cohen, ELO, Billy Joel, Janis Joplin, Ben E King, Queen and others. We also offer selections from a range of 20th century musicals, including 42nd Street, West Side Story, Phantom and Les Misérables.

Alongside that, we also cover pieces from the folk tradition, spirituals and hymns. As our Christmas concert has grown in popularity, so has the range of Christmas music we offer, from Christmas hymns and carols to Christmas pop songs (though we try not to cover the ones relentlessly in shops at Christmas).
